The 2019 Northwest Louisiana Pregnancy Care Center Banquet will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 beginning at 6 p.m. There will be an auction held during the meal, which will be served at 6:30 p.m. The program will start between 7 and 7:15 p.m. The guest speaker this year is Tawni Jehnke, founder of Third World Missions.
At the age of 16, while rummaging through an old box in her mother’s bedroom Tawni found a letter she was never supposed to read. In this letter, she discovered her own biological father wanted her aborted.
It was in that moment, Tawni realized how very close her life had been to becoming another victim to the holocaust of abortion.
Since she can remember, Tawni has been a pro-life advocate. Her convictions remain strong and she’s committed her life to sharing her own personal message. Tawni is adamant about helping others to see the tangible evidence that all life begins at conception. She realizes all too well if her mother had succumbed to her biological father’s demands, she would not be here today.
Since an early age, Tawni has had a heart for the under-privileged. As a Registered Nurse she has specialized in hospice care, pediatrics and traumatic brain injury patients.
In 2010, following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Tawni traveled to there to offer her nursing experience to those in need. She continued her work in Haiti for eight years.
In 2012, Tawni founded the non profit organization, Third World Missions, which specializes in sustainable living for orphans. Through hard work and dedication, she opened the first medical clinic in the village of Croix des Bouquet.
Today, Tawni is married to Matt and they are the parents to three children, Jack, age 2 and her twin infant daughters, Charlotte and Olive. She is currently staying at home raising their three children.
